Each year the biggest names in wind watersports flock to Hood River for the annual AWSI Expo, showcasing and demoing their latest gear over 3 days to 1000+ attendees. The Starboard Foilboard crew, led by Brand Manager Ollie O’Reilly, were in town showcasing the latest developments and innovations for the 2024 Starboard Foilboard range.
Ollie introduces an exciting new range, the Ace Foil, while the Take Off range gets a major overhaul and we upgrade the Air Foil with a carbon plate, making it 2.2 kg’s lighter than its predecessor.

The 2023 AWSI Expo in Hood River, Oregon was a huge success, with over 60 brands showcasing their latest and greatest gear to over 1,000 attendees. The event was held from September 6-8, and featured everything from kitesurfing and windsurfing equipment to wakeboarding and stand-up paddleboarding gear.
One of the biggest trends at the expo was the continued growth of foiling. Foiling is a new and exciting way to enjoy a variety of water sports, including SUP & surf foiling, kitesurfing, windsurfing, and wakeboarding. It allows riders to glide over the water at high speeds with minimal effort.
Several brands at the expo were showcasing their latest foiling gear, including Naish, Slingshot, Duotone and Foil Academy, in addition to Starboard presenting the Foilboard range and FreeWing presenting their exciting new wings diu to be released in 2024.
In addition to the latest gear, the AWSI Expo also featured a variety of other activities, including demos, clinics, and parties. The event was a great opportunity for water sports enthusiasts to learn about the latest trends and gear, and to connect with other members of the community.
